A real mobile cardiology unit is set up in the vehicle where it is possible to carry out screenings to increase public awareness of the culture of prevention. It can be fitted with every comfort: air-conditioning for any weather conditions and to any time of the year to guarantee a healthy environment, oleodynamic stabilization system managed by handheld remote control, wiring with high quality and safety standards, self-sufficiency in energy thanks to the auxiliary power generator in order to ensure that the installed equipments aboard the vehicle continue to function, wireless LAN for the exchange and sharing of data, adequate lighting for the working environment in accordance with the requirements set out in the legislation to safeguard security and welfare both of the medical staff and the patients, etc.
All the installations are designed by a team of qualified engineers and are skilfully made in accordance with the existing legislation in the field of health.
CVS had the privilege of creating the Camion del Cuore (The Truck of the Heart), the first Italian Mobile Cardiology Unit to offer free examinations to people in need who can't afford medical treatment. The vehicle was commissioned by Dona la Vita con il Cuore (Give life with the heart), a non-profit association which operates with the help of volunteer doctors of the Gemelli Teaching Hospital in Rome, and promotes a praiseworthy support project for underprivileged patients and aimed at increasing public awareness of cardiological prevention.
His Holiness Pope Francis blessed The Truck of the Heart on 22nd June 2016 during the General Audience in the Vatican City. CVS had the honour of having the Holy Father on board the vehicle, who appreciated the aesthetics and the social function of the mobile unit.
